Before a project can be successfully undertaken, a wayfinding strategy is necessary. The strategy covers a diverse range of issues including: walkability & traffic issues, existing signage audits, new sign family recommendations & placement policies. The strategy looks at integration of the new wayfinding system with all forms of sustainable transport. In summary the strategy is a practical report which details 'what' is necessary & 'where' it must be located, enabling a project to be quantified, prototyped and costed prior to full implementation.

Visualvoice has prepared wayfinding strategies in association with J.A Grant & Associates (a Melbourne based walking consultancy) for many councils including the Cities of Melbourne, Bendigo & Ballarat.
